About Baron Wells

Design

The catalyst for a design will start with a reference to a specific fabric, color, trim, or sourced vintage piece. Themes are pulled from music, art, science, nature, and travel to add layers to our original idea – informing and advancing the initial concept.

The resulting piece yields a unique duality in that there is simplicity of silhouette and complexity in construction. Clean lines and a focused color palette unify the collection as a considered assortment with a strong point of view.

Production

All of our garments are made in New York City with the exception of our tee shirts. This allows us a heightened degree of control in our process – from design concept to final product. We work closely with several teams (pattern makers, cutting rooms, sewers within the Garment District) to ensure quality and fair labor practices. Wearing clothes that are made in our own backyard is something special that we believe in supporting.

Components/Materials

We source our fabric and components globally. We buy domestic whenever possible yet seek certain inputs that can only be found on the international market. We source fabric that will complement design while simultaneously maintaining awareness for balance between classic and modern fabrics.
